Thomas B. Padgett, D.M.D.
Dr. Thomas B. Padgett is a distinguished Oral and Maxillofacial Cosmetic Surgeon. He has been practicing and teaching facial cosmetic surgery for over twenty years and has performed over 2000 cosmetic procedures. Dr. Padgett received his dental degree from the University of Louisville and followed with an internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. His specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was done at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires numerous years of additional hospital-based training including surgical training in Plastic Surgery, ENT, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Craniofacial Surgery. Following his residency, Dr. Padgett completed a Fellowship in Facial Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He practiced a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to include facial cosmetic surgery, jaw reconstruction, wisdom teeth, dental implants and oral and facial pathology.
Dr. Padgett is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member in good standing with the American Association of Cosmetic Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Association. Dr. Padgett is also a member of the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as a Past President. He presently is the Chief of Oral Surgery at CJW Medical Center and a Delegate to the Virginia Dental Association.
