Meet. Dr. Padgett
Dr. Thomas B. Padgett is a distinguished Oral and Maxillofacial Cosmetic Surgeon. He has been practicing and teaching facial cosmetic surgery for over eight years and has performed over 1000 cosmetic procedures. Dr. Padgett received his dental degree from the University of Louisville and did his internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. His specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was done at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires additional years of hospital-based training including surgical training in Plastic Surgery, ENT, General Surgery, Neurosurgery and Craniofacial Surgery. Following his residency, Dr. Padgett completed a fellowship in Facial Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He manages a wide variety of problems relating to the face, head and neck and practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery--with expertise in facial reconstructive and facial cosmetic surgery.
Before moving to Richmond, Dr. Padgett held a staff teaching position at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego and taught Facial Cosmetic Surgery to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents. Although he was selected to the rank of Captain, he has chosen to retire from the Navy to pursue a career in the private sector. Dr. Padgett is board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, as well as many local and state organizations.
